Our shop towels are approximately 16” x 16” squares of cotton, and the edges are sewn to prevent fraying. After washing, rags may shrink to approximately 14” x 14” inches. This shrinkage is normal as cotton fibers contract in hot water. These rags are available in two colors: white or red. Their durability makes these rags useful for routine maintenance, like wiping dust away from vents or spot-cleaning messes. Because cotton is an organic, soft material, it is gentle on granite and marble surfaces. These rags also offer a low lint production rate, even after multiple uses.

2. Clean a Variety of Spills

Cotton rags are highly absorbent, and the natural cotton fibers lift and trap a variety of substances, such as grease, motor oil, and mineral spirits. This allows you to clean up spills in your workshop areas and remove grease from your hands and tools. When you're done using oily rags, place them in a bucket of water for disposal or later cleaning. Avoid piling oily rags together on the floor or in a corner, as this can create a fire hazard.

To properly remove thick spills of materials like paint, lay the rags over the top of the spilled substance to begin lifting it. For larger spills, use additional rags to cover the entire affected area. Once the rags have absorbed as much liquid as possible, sweep them from the outside edges towards the center. Scoop the piled rags up and deposit them into a leak-proof container for later disposal or washing.

3. Sold in Bulk

These towels are available in a variety of bulk size options, including 25 and 50 lb. boxes. Each 25 lb. box contains around 330 rags, and 50 lb. boxes contain about 660 rags. These approximations are based on the rags' weight. If you need more rags, we offer large bales, which contain 1,250 rags each.
